How To Hold A Classical Guitar
We’re going to talk about how to hold a classical guitar, I prefer to use a footstool though sometimes you can get a device that will help you hold the guitar in a certain way, the main thing is that you should get the neck of the guitar reasonably high. this will assist your left hand reach, and help you use the weight of your arm to assist you with pressing the strings down.
There should be 3 main points of contact.
- Top of the leg
- Right Thigh
- Top of chest
Next, relax your right arm and bring it around onto the top of the guitar. Turn your wrist and place the fingers onto the strings with i. m, and a fingers onto the top 3 strings and the thumb on one of the bass strings.
